Securico started in Vancouver in 2015, and the idea behind it wasn’t complicated. The security industry had a proof problem. A client would hire a guard, pay for a full shift, and have no real way of knowing what happened between the last phone call and sunrise. Reports showed up late, if they showed up at all. Patrols were promised, not verified. For a business owner or a site manager carrying real liability, “trust us” was never good enough, and it still isn’t.

So Securico was built the other way around. Every guard would carry GPS tracking, not as a nice-to-have but as the baseline. Every shift would generate a report you could actually read the next morning. And if something went wrong that shouldn’t have, the company would put its own money behind it instead of quietly hoping you wouldn’t notice. That last piece became the Zero Incidents or It’s Free guarantee, and it’s still one of the only guarantees like it in the industry.

What started as a Vancouver operation grew the way most good security companies do: one referral, one site, one contractor telling another contractor at a time. Today Securico holds BC Security License #B6598 and covers the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and the Sunshine Coast, which is really just a formal way of saying we stopped being a Vancouver security company a while ago and became a BC security guard company instead.
